"Sure you can, don't ever think you can't if you never try".

It is a great talk from both of them. The history and the progress they have. It was amazing to hear and know about them. The message that I get from them is, "Nothing comes easy and the hard time is the progress and improvement. May hardness come first to get your success, then the future will show your hard work. It won't be a waste of time if it will be worth it later on." - Melvy Lie

I was surprised with Ashley Gilbertson talked. I am a person who love history but never read any newspaper or watch news. Once he came up to the stage, I thought he will describe his photos same as other designers. But his one was so different. It was real, and anyone can have they own opinion to think about his work. I love he describe his work, by each photo has a story or maybe more. He can remember and describe really detail to each stories, with their names, families, places and everything. Because he is beside the photo.
His presentation with all with the anger and emotions but I can see how sad his eyes to see all the photos that he looked at, but he was there when the tragedy happened. There are no words that I can describe about him. But, I love the way he present his photos as journalist, his photos are not an art work or design. But they are history by His Story that are reality.
ps. Check his website and have a look his photos and read his journal to each one. And then you can have your opinion.

Semi Permanent - Frankie Magazine
Frankie Magazine is one of Australias most popular magazines. It's a magazine targeted at women that even your average male hipster is not ashamed to read. - Semi Permanent-
I am not regret to spent my money to come this year semi permanent. Especially the first day and the first program was about Frankie magazine. I knew Frankie Magazine from one of my friend. She is a big fan of this magazine.
What I can learn from Frankie Magazines are the topic and designs they are putting. It is not same as the other fashion magazines. This magazine present them self in a different way. That is how I think., because it is not showing how female always be feminine, but sometimes females can be just simple. I can see how they putting the layout and all the photography taken in the creative and interesting way.
I was so impress with the presentation by Louise Bannister who showed me all the progress of Frankie Magazines and they history lines.
Before she finished the talk, she let her photographer who work for them about 3.5 years with her all concept and it was really cool.
After that, Louise end the talked, and she said, " It may have done by people, but it has not done by you." And I took my book and quickly write it down. It was something that I wan to hear and I can do for my future.
In my belief in design there always a copy right thing that I have to run away. So usually I spent to much time to think of a concept and try to create something new. It is good I know, but it just waste lot of time when I have never try other design. So, start now, I have more freedom to design.

About my mom..
I always proud of my mom. She always be my admire person in the world. She can cook and tidy up the house so clean in the same time. When she did business helping my father. She took care of my papa until the time he gone. She can cooked really delicious foods, cakes and cookies, and also prepare any kind of party. When I am little she cut my hair. And she pretty too. She can make up really pretty. She is smart with money and taught me when I am small. And she keep some money from my papa to let us continue studies overseas. When it is tough for her as well. She want us to be smart and have a really good future in career.
But there is something as we know. Nothing is perfect. She had an accident when she small. So she can't continue study. And then she has a tough life too with my grandma. When married with my papa, she has a bad attitude from the in laws. Until 1 day my papa changed and treat my mom better.

Haruki Murakami
Today I read my friend put this link in face book http://www.goodreads.com/author/quotes. And then I have click it and read around. I like some of the quotes.
Such as,
"Memories are what warm you up from the inside. But they're also what tear you apart." — Haruki Murakami (Kafka on the Shore)
or
"Don't feel sorry for yourself. Only assholes do that." — Haruki Murakami (Norwegian Wood)
But I like this one the most is,
"Time weighs down on you like an old, ambiguous dream. You keep on moving, trying to sleep through it. But even if you go to the ends of the earth, you won't be able to escape it. Still, you have to go there- to the edge of the world. There's something you can't do unless you get there." — Haruki Murakami
It's giving me the strength to be strong and not to give up. To much problem coming even though it is just the beginning of the year. My mom told me it's tiger year, supposedly, it will be better for ox people like me who has a bad year last year. I lost my father and I get dump from my x-bf . who I found out cheat on me. What ever, life move on and I won't ever give up. But I wish everyone happy, I wish I am happy too.. I know I have a big dream to fill my life. I won't stop dreaming until it is the time to give up. I am just 25 and still young.. Cheers..
